About the Position Reporting to the Fleet Technical & Projects Manager, you will support the ongoing X’Trapolis Fleet reliability on electrical & Electronic Systems. This role is critical in the continuous improvement of safety, reliability and availability of the fleet to meet MTM delivery commitments. To do this, some of your duties and responsibilities include:
Analyse and report on daily incidents resulting in service cancellations/ operational delays.
Identify root causes for technical failures and provide mitigation strategy for the same.
Review safety, reliability & performance of rolling stock sub-systems/ assemblies
Ensure maintenance of rolling stock is adhered to the latest Technical Maintenance Plans (TMP).
Review TMP, undertake risk assessments and implement changes through MTM Management of Change (MoC) and Engineering Change (EC) process.
Apply Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles and risk management in developing and monitoring maintenance regime and practices.
Manage and co-ordinate with internal/ external stake holders, suppliers and contractors on multiple maintenance and (or) rolling stock projects.
Perform quality check on maintenance and overhaul process and report non-conformances to relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide technical support to maintenance personnel in performing maintenance tasks and diagnostics.
Additional ad-hoc tasks as per required
About YouTo be a successful applicant for this position, you will have prior experience in a similar position with exposure to rolling stock systems design, construction or maintenance environment. You will also have experience and knowledge of Rolling Stock technical and Engineering Standards, system specification and practices. An Engineering Australia recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering along with registration is required.A sound understanding of the principles of asset management as expressed in ISO55000 is desired. You will have well-developed analytical and problem solving skills and take pride in your ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the business, both written and verbal.
