Position Overview
A full time, fixed term appointment for 6 months exists within the office of Access & Inclusion, Division of Student Life at the Australian National University (ANU).

The role of the Assistive Technology Officer is to assist in providing services to students with disability. The focus of this position is to support accessible and inclusive education for all students.
The Access and Inclusion office provide advice and ensure that appropriate arrangements relating to teaching and assessment are made for students with disabilities, while maintaining the academic integrity and core requirements of individual courses. Under the broad direction of the Operations Manager, Access and Inclusion the Assistive Technology Officer will work in collaboration with other areas within the Division of Student Life, Student Administration, and academic areas to provide assistive technology and supports to students with disability at ANU.
The successful applicant will have working knowledge of relevant legislation, for example, Privacy Act, 1988, the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Disability Standards for Education 2005 and Copyright Act 1968.
