Trade Account Manager – Somerville/Mornington Peninsula

A great opportunity has arisen in our MELBOURNE network for a Trade Account Manager. Reporting to the Group Trade Manager, this position is Somerville-based working across our TAIT Mitre10 brand.
You will have previous external sales experience at a Sales Representative/Account Management level or similar capacity. Your ability to build strong relationships in a B2B environment within the residential building industry will see you succeed in this dynamic role.  Having a passion for outstanding customer service will result in delivering the required sales targets and KPI’s whilst adding real value to our trade customers.
The key areas of accountability include:
Achievement of sales, margin and product mix targets
The ability to attract new customers in addition to growing existing business
Analysis of sales and customer data to identify new opportunities
Effective management of a diverse Builder centric customer base
Development and implementation of trade sales plans and initiatives
You will be responsible for communicating and representing the Tait Mitre10 brand to our key stakeholders through sales meetings, training and industry events
Safety being part of our everyday culture
To be considered for this role you will meet the following criteria: 
A strong ability to develop and maintain B2B relationships and influence decision-making
A comprehensive understanding of the tait Mitre10 market with previous experience in Timber, Plumbing and Building materials
Previous experience in a similar sales role
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are essential
A sound business acumen with the ability to understand relevant financials  
You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with proven results in driving sales growth in a target driven environment.
The right candidate can look forward to a competitive salary package which will be negotiated based on experience. The base package includes a tool-of-trade vehicle and the potential to earn additional incentives based on performance.
