Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry. Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace. Airservices has two major operating centres in Melbourne and Brisbane and a corporate office in Canberra. We operate 29 air traffic control towers at international and regional airports, and provide aviation rescue fire fighting services at 26 Australian airports.
The Role
The Program Security Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring that the OneSKY Program considers, designs and delivers fit for purpose security aspects of the Program scope.
The role is responsible for all Program Security aspects (including the coordination, implementation and oversight of required physical and IT security required for the Program to operate), and coordinate security activities related to Program deliverables between Airservices, Defence and vendors.
The Person
The Program Security Manager will be able to take Government frameworks (e.g. PSPF and ISM), as well as Airservices and Defence policies, combine them with Program requirements and turn them into pragmatic executable options, recommendation and/or solutions. Then, engage with, and influence, the information, personnel and physical security authorities across Airservices, Defence and Program contractors to turn them into reality.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and advising on a range of security aspects, aligned with Australian Federal legislation and frameworks (PSPF, ISM, etc);
Established leadership capabilities, ability to formulate strategies and concepts, make decisions with limited information, form and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at various levels; and
Skill to lead and work in highly dynamic and complex environments through prioritising your own work and the work of your team, and being able to influence others priorities to meet broader Organisational/Program objectives
