Payroll Officer Laverton Distribution Centre

As Payroll Officer, you’ll perform all payroll functions for waged staff and play a critical role in our team’s engagement and performance across the Laverton Distribution Centre.
Reporting to the site Commercial Manager you will collaborate with your peers to provide support and insight to the Distribution Management team.
To be successful, you’ll have:
payroll experience from a related industry, e.g. logistics, manufacturing or similar
experience with an automated timesheet system such as Kronos or Preceda
the ability to demonstrate your analytical and problem solving skills
intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with experience providing payroll management reporting
exceptional verbal communication skills and a focus on providing outstanding customer service
Your key responsibilities will be to:
prepare weekly payroll for over 600 team members, supported by a Kronos attendance system
understand and interpret site employment agreements with respect to worked hours, leave entitlements, rates and allowances
investigate, solve and rectify exceptions
process leave and related requests and support our team members with questions and changes to their weekly pay
support the site’s commercial and leadership teams with developing and preparing weekly/monthly reporting, which includes providing input for the budgeting and forecasting process
