Full-time research position
Research in the physics of active matter and hydrodynamics of microorganisms

Position overview

The Research Fellow will join the Physics of Fluids Laboratory led by Professor Michael Shats within the Centre for Plasmas and Fluids, Research School of Physics and Engineering at The Australian National University. The area of study will be in the hydrodynamics of active matter and complex flows in suspensions of living bacteria and synthetic active microswimmers.
The successful candidate will have experience and a strong track record in physics of fluids and/or in biophysics or a related area. Previous experience in microfluidics or microbiology is essential.
