Student Life is located within the Division of Academic and Student Engagement and is responsible for supporting the University"s strategic objectives through the delivery of efficient and responsive services to support students.
Working under general direction the International Advisor, Administration and Compliance provides information to international students in a range of services and administrative matters, with a focus upon assisting students with information and documentation for visa and compliance purposes. The position provides administrative support to projects and programs run by the International Student Support team and works closely with the Student Life services.
Salary: (HEO4) $59,735 – $65,704 per annum
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies
Term of position: This fixed-term contract is available in January 2018 until 31 December 2018
To be successful you should have:
Knowledge of the Australian tertiary sector and an understanding of the challenges facing international students.
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated commitment and a proven record in providing quality, student centric services.
Knowledge of the ESOS Act and affiliated National Code of Practice and a working knowledge of the student
Visa program as it pertains to students in higher education.
Demonstrated high level administrative and organisational skills including a capacity to meet competing and
Ability to meet demanding deadlines, use initiative and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
Experience in the use of Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS)
