FOREMAN - Are you looking for that next step in your career? The NSBT project is now well and truely underway. Our Southern Surface Site are looking for a skillful, experienced and highly driven foreman to get the job done! The role: To lead and ensure that all employees/contractors workforce activities are effectively controlled and that the workforce requirements of quality, safety and health and environment are satisfied efficiently in a harmonious environment. Community · Ensure, direct reports, consultants and subcontractors have been inducted and comply with the community relations policy and procedures · Incorporate practical stakeholder suggestions into designs, work methods and project plans. · Carry out the works in manner that is minimises impact upon the community and avoids adverse public reaction to the project. Risk Assessment · For each area, process, activity for which the Foreman is responsible, undertakes risk assessments. · Develop controls to manage the identified risks. Controls · Implement controls to ensure that safety and health, quality and environmental requirements are satisfied. · Ensure personnel working on the project have been inducted in accordance with project procedures. · Assist in the development of project instructions. · Assist in the development of JSA’s and monitor works to ensure compliance with JSA’s. · Ensure Daily Pre-starts are carried out daily by each work crew under your control. · Implement remedial action as required. · Control labour and contractors as directed by the Nominated Supervisor · Ensure that any hazardous substances/polluted material are disposed of in accordance with the MSDS or method specified by the authorities to the designated areas. · Ensure that records are kept in the daily diary of inspections of the site involving safety, quality and environment. Inspections · Undertake inspections and verification activities and complete records as required by the project plans/project instructions. · Perform competency assessments of operators as required. Incidents · Report incidents to the Nominated Supervisor. · Undertake investigations of incidents as directed by the Nominated Supervisor.
